Kerry Hallam Painting Graces Nantucket Wine Festival Poster

Impressionist artist Kerry Hallam has once again lent his artistic talents to the internationally renowned Nantucket Wine Festival. Hallam, a Nantucket resident, has created the imagery that has appeared on the official poster, invitation, and other promotional material for several of the past festivals, always a painting with a wine theme.

The festival, which took place May 13th – 19th and is now in it's sixth year, has attracted bigger crowds and more participants every year and has had to expand its scope to keep up with the demand. This yearÕs festival included wine tastings from more than 135 of the worldÕs top wineries. Celebrity chefs and cookbook authors were present at a charity gala, a house tour/wine tasting event, an auction of fine, rare wines and other events. The festival has grown from an event with a local focus to a much-anticipated event that attracts enthusiasts from all over the world.

Hallam, a wine lover himself, has participated in this event since its inception. His art has graced the promotional materials and has been sold or auctioned as part of the charity fundraising event for years. He reports that this year's festival had the added "attraction" of being held in a powerful nor'easter, a storm that threatened to lift the tents off the ground! The festival still managed to attract large crowds and the event was declared a success.
