December 1—December 31
SAN FRANCISCO—Martin Lawrence Galleries San Francisco is pleased to invite you to our annual December Holiday Exhibition celebrating the life and work of Erte, the father of Art Deco. This exhibition offers seasoned collectors and first timers alike a vast collection of Erté’s very best graphic works, including his most popular collections—The Alphabet, The Numerals, The Aces, The Precious Stones, The Seasons and more.
Erté is globally recognized as one of the foremost fashion and theatrical designers of the 20th century. In 1968, when he produced his first lithographs, Erte added another significant medium to his extraordinary talent. Erté’s work is proudly on display in the collections of several of the most important museums in the world, including the Louvre, the MET, the Victoria and Albert Museum, and the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. In 2016, MLG sponsored and contributed substantial work to the first ever solo exhibition of Erté’s masterworks at the Hermitage Museum in St, Petersburg, Russia.
