Martin Lawrence Galleries is proud to announce the latest from renowned artist Liudmila Kondakova: “Paris by Moonlight” an enchanting new hand-signed archival print with hand-made serigraph texture plates. MLG introduced the painting this past summer, and is delighted to now be able to offer this beautifully rendered limited edition depicting Notre dame and its environs to our many other Kondakova collectors. The work whimsically reflects the moon above while bubbles echoing a circular theme. Mischievous fairies populate each bubble, making this work an excellent choice for a child’s bedroom or a romantic retreat for “dreamers at heart”.
“We all know the feeling of experiencing a dream so real and vivid that when we wake, we really lived it. I feel this way about my art.” —Liudmila Kondakova
Liudmila Kondakova grew up in Russia, studied at the Grabar Center in Moscow and attended Russia’s School of Sacred Arts and the Moscow Art Institute, before immigrating to the United States in 1991. Her artistic gifts talent and idealized vision of Paris has served as the foundation and inspiration of much of her magnificent work. The palette and icons throughout her paintings are influenced by both Russian and Byzantine sensibilities. Kondakova often finds herself chasing after a particular hour of the day in her paintings; she searches for the perfect hour to reveal all the magic of the color.
Kondakova will be greeting collectors and sharing new works, in person, at two MLG locations nationwide. The Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg, Illinois on Saturday, October 28 and in South Coast Plaza, Costa Mesa on December 9.
“Paris by Moonlight” and many other Kondakova works are on exhibit and available for acquisition at all nine MLG galleries nationwide.
