About the Work
Salvador Dalí is one of the most famous and prolific artists of the twentieth century, his fantastic imagery and flamboyant personality made him the best-known artist of the Surrealist movement of the late 1920s and early 1930s. Como dios manda is a hand-signed etching on heliogravure in the Les Caprices de Goya de Dalí series. The image size is 9 x 7 inches.

Francisco Goya's Los Caprichos was an experiment to expose the foolish aspects of 18th century Spanish society. Hundreds of years later, Salvador Dalí decided to transform the suite and present it as a new body of work.
Dali added his own handwork to each image and created some additional mischief with the titles to complete his commentary.

Salvador Dali was one of the greatest Surrealist artists, using bizarre dream imagery to create unforgettable and unmistakable landscapes of his inner world. In 1934, the Surrealists censured Dalí.
About the Artist

Spanish Artist Salvador Dalí was a Surrealist icon best known for his articulate skill and exquisite works of art. Dalí is among the most versatile and prolific artists of the 20th century, partially due to his explorations of subconscious imagery. He practiced sculpting, printmaking, fashion, advertising, filmmaking and more. His flamboyant personality and mischievousness contributed to his rise to becoming an international celebrity, however, his mastery of art is arguably his most distinct attribute.
