December 8—December 31
DALLAS—Martin Lawrence Galleries Dallas is pleased to invite you to our annual December Holiday Exhibition celebrating the life and work of Erté, the father of Art Deco. This exhibition offers seasoned collectors and first timers alike a vast collection of Erté’s very best graphic works, including his most popular collections—The Alphabet, The Numerals, The Aces, The Precious Stones, The Seasons and more.
Erté is globally recognized as one of the foremost fashion and theatrical designers of the 20th century and, in 1968, when he produced his first lithographs, he added another significant medium to his extraordinary talent. His work is proudly on display in the collections of several of the most important museums in the world, including the Louvre, the MET, the Victoria and Albert Museum, and the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. In 2016, MLG sponsored and contributed substantial work to the first ever solo exhibition of Erté’s masterworks at the Hermitage Museum in St, Petersburg, Russia.
Enjoy an evening viewing works by Erté with wine, food and music. Roaring Twenties inspired attire is encouraged.
