Robert Deyber (1955–2021) was an American artist celebrated for transforming everyday sayings, puns, and idioms into witty, surreal works of art. Influenced by Magritte, Dalí, and the dramatic landscapes of the Hudson River School, Deyber became known as a “visual raconteur,” blending humor, elegance, and dreamlike imagery into a style uniquely his own.
His limited-edition lithographs, hand-pulled in Paris by master printer Art Estampe, preserve his vision with the centuries-old tradition of stone lithography. Each edition of 395 is initialed by the artist, making every piece a rare collector’s treasure.
Beloved worldwide, Deyber’s collectors included music legend Tom Petty, who also commissioned him to create the cover for Highway Companion. Today, his art continues to enchant and inspire, offering collectors timeless works of wit, imagination, and fine craftsmanship.
